It was a five hour car ride to the airport, but I was able to keep myself entertained.
Edwin had some fun songs, so if you'd like to see me doing the Whip and Nae-Nae in the back of a safari car please go to the link below.

Edwin pointed out something very inspiring on a car in front of us at one point. The sign under the cow reads, "HAKUNA DHAMBI MBAYA DUNIANI KAMA WOGA." That translates to, "There is no greater sin in this world than fear."
Please read that again; "There is no greater sin in this world than fear." I hope that inspires you as much as it inspires me.

Just a few minutes before we reached the airport we were able to see Kilimanjaro. It's very hard to see, but it's there! |
|
There were sunflower patches down the last road to the airport. As much as I love Tanzania and can't wait to go back, I was excited to see my parents. |
|
Look at the size of that thing! |
|
We were very excited to ride a plane for 24+ hours! |
|
As soon as we reached Amsterdam, the wifi brought us back to easy communication and the news. Whoop. |
|
My last stalker picture of the trip. |

Still happy after two days of travel. We were finally back in Texas. |
Honestly I wasn't ready for the trip to end. I'm glad to have a hot shower every night and a microwave for my leisure, but I miss Tanzania. Good thing I'm only 18, and this is the first of many international adventures I plan to go on. Next stop college, and after that who knows?! I'm so excited for all the things I'm going to get to do. Our God is an Awesome God!
Thank you to everyone who made this trip possible! Thank you to Simon's Promise; without the vision of those volunteers who founded that non-profit I wouldn't even know there was a country named Tanzania, and I wouldn't have had such an epiphany about my calling. These last eight months are only the beginning, and I can't wait to see Simon's Promise grow.
Thank you to my parents for helping me grow into the strong person I am; also thank you guys for letting me go to Tanzania even though that was hard. :D I made it, even if I did forget to communicate for 4 days while I was over there. Sorry!
Thank you to everyone who has read my blog. I hope I have sparked or inspired something in you; even if I didn't shift your world thinking, I hope I was able to teach you something.
Much love,
Kami
